Author Notes: So, imagine your muse came back after a long hibernation and forgot to bring story ideas back with her. So imagine that you're looking for story ideas on the Challenge page on Wraithbait.com. And imagine that since you're at work, you're really only skimming the page, not reading the challenges in any great detail, when you see two that you think you can do. Together. Only when you actually read the challenge, they're kinda really different than what you were thinking, right? So these are the challenges: Lost by CaptainUntouchable: Write an anthology of 10 individual stories, all centered around the theme that something, or someone is lost.
And:
Home Away From Home by Ghostsforge: The Ancients left an entire city on Earth, structures and towers covering the entire surface of the planet; that the humans who followed have always lived in. Some humans don't have the gene, others have had it artificially imposed, and time is spent maintaining the City, and continuing the Ancients Research and Experiments. John Sheppard did't grow up in the city, his parents lived on the mainland with the others that wanted a life not ruled by technology, they're not fanatical, but just prefers the mainland. The people who live in the city respect those that live on the mainland, and it's friendly, with people coming and going all the time. John has had a great life so far with his friends Teyla and Ronon, but has always wanted to fly, and seeing the Jumpers flying over head is just too much temptation for him. With the city new to him, he needs some help, and also the go ahead, and training to get his hands on a Jumper. No one is going to just give John a Jumper, and it's going to be tough to find someone willing to give up their time to train him, he never knew it, but John has the gene, and that attracts the attention of Rodney McKay, someone that can make John's dreams of flying, become a reality. Rodney's not a pilot, but is willing to give John his time, if with his gene, John helps him access a lot of the city's systems he hasn't been able to before.

For the first three months of her pregnancy, Teyla's body became her enemy, making her sick in the morning and gaining weight, shifting her center of balance and making it difficult for her to fight anymore.
She hated it, thinking that maybe, just this once, her people were wrong, and maybe she should not have a child.
But when he was placed in her arms, she knew they were right.

The third time Rodney caught John sneaking out of that lab down in section 4 he was sure that something was going on, and he was determined to find out what it was. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to find, just a whole bunch of tentacle-like arms that presumably helped the scientists with their experiments as an extra set of hands.
Atlantis drew the lube-coated tentacle into one of her walls, hiding it from the nosy scientist, and was grateful once again that her John was careful to always clean up after himself.

Ronon knew long before Sheppard and McKay. He saw the way they looked at each other when the other wasn't looking, listened to the way they flirted, and remembered how his relationship with his wife had begun.
He also saw how the Marines eyed the two of them together, heard the fervent denials they both uttered whenever someone said something, and bashed some of the less open-minded heads.
That didn't stop Ronon from tracking Sheppard to McKay's quarters the morning after one of the huge drunken we're-still-alive parties and pounding on the door until Sheppard appeared for their morning run.

Rodney knew from the beginning that it was true love. He'd never felt this way about anything - anyone - before, and what was better was that his feelings didn't change, didn't taper off until he just felt a mild sense of like.
So it was completely understandable that Rodney attacked Sheppard with a spork when the man tried to steal his chocolate pudding cup at lunch.

Prompt: Write a love affair in three sentences. The entirety may not be more than 100 words. And yeah, I doubled the length of it.
At first Rodney thought John only put up with him because Rodney forced him to be his light switch on all the Ancient devices they were finding on Atlantis, but then John wanted Rodney on his team, and really, who would want to spend more time around Rodney than they had to unless they liked him in some small, inconsequential way?
So John and Rodney went on missions, with Teyla and Ford and later Ronon instead of Ford, and did team things like watch movies and eat dinner together and play the Game and sit with each other in the infirmary and shoot each other (but not on purpose, except for that one time with the personal shield) and Rodney slowly realized that he really liked John.
Liked, liked John, not just as friends, but as a lover, and John was in the United States Air Force and they frowned on that type of thing so Rodney knew he could never ever talk about it, which meant that the next time he saw John it popped out of his mouth and the last thing he remembered before passing out in post-coital bliss was John saying, "I love you too, Rodney."
